PAWN

The Pawn is an important piece in Dragon Slayers, as it’s related to the goal and the game over. Like in chess, its movement is straight forward, but its attack range is diagonally forward one tile to the left and right. The Pawn’s first move can be either one or two tiles ahead.

ROOK

The Rook is one type of piece that you can encounter on this journey. Like in chess, a Rook can move horizontally and vertically any number of connected tiles. It has the same attack range as its movement pattern.

BISHOP

The Bishop is one type of piece that you can encounter on this journey. Like in chess, a Bishop can move diagonally any number of connected tiles. It has the same attack range as its movement pattern.

KNIGHT

The Knight is one type of piece that you can encounter on this journey. Like in chess, a Knight moves in an L-shaped format and can move over obstacles, like other pieces and across any missing tiles on the board. It has the same attack range as its movement pattern.

ALFIL

The Alfil is one type of fairy chess piece that you can encounter on this journey. An Alfil moves two squares diagonally and can move over obstacles, like other pieces and across any missing tiles on the board. It has the same attack range as its movement pattern.

DABBABAH

The Dabbabah is one type of fairy chess piece that you can encounter on this journey. A Dabbabah moves two squares horizontally or vertically and can move over obstacles, like other pieces and across any missing tiles on the board. It has the same attack range as its movement pattern.

CAMEL

The Camel is one type of fairy chess piece that you can encounter on this journey. Each Camel moves in a “longer-L” shape: either three squares horizontally and one vertically, or one square horizontally and three vertically. It can move over obstacles, like other pieces and across the lack of tiles on the board, and has the same attack range as its movement pattern.
